Springs a buzzin’ and we thought it would be refreshing to suggest a few healthy alternatives for your body. This post features Beecology, an original family-owned business that focuses on the natural beauty of our world and how we treat ourselves. David Rzepka, who stumbled upon beekeeping by accident, grew to love his busy little friends and realized how our worlds collide with theirs. Since thenBeecology has been a huge hit and is sold in many stores across the US! They focus on sulfate-free products, no chemical preservatives, and all around natural goodness for your skin and hair.

They sent us a cute Small Gift Box to review as in introduction to their site. It includes an ounce of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and body cream. You actually get the choice of which body wash you would prefer, which is a fresh touch of personalization for this cute little stocking stuffer! Grapefruit & Lemongrass, Lavender with Bergamot, and Peppermint & Honey are the body wash choices. I decided to try something a little out of the ordinary and went with the Lavender with Bergamot*—not something quite as common as the others. I have to be honest, my bag was stolen out of my car with these in it. I am so sad. I only used each item once, with the exception of the body cream. Therefore I can’t tell you the long lasting effects of the products, but I CAN tell you I loved the way my hair smelled! I was impressed with the texture and thickness of the shampoo and body wash; it was that of honey. Many times body wash and shampoo with be much too runny or won’t lather up with either a wash cloth, loofah or your hair. They have done an excellent job of creating the perfect mix. The only thing that could have been better was having more of it; there was only about an ounce for each. Somebody out there is enjoying it—maybe they needed it more than I did… HA!

Finally, Beecology also loves to not only use what the earth gives us wisely, but to give back to the community as well. Each product has a code on it—head on over to www.sweetyear.org to submit the code, and part of your purchase goes to your choice of a variety of charities! What a great way to give back!
